Solo LA Road Trip 04/06-08/09
With my recent purchase of my Henry James Universal II Jig *plug* I decided to pick it up directly from Hank instead of paying the outlandish shipping cost. Originally this was planned as a day trip but a few unexpected delays kept me for a few days. First things first, non-stop to Redondo Beach. (actually 2 stops for gas)
When my uncle was visiting from the Philippines the only pizza he ever wanted was Shakey's. Since the closest one to me is in Oroville I had to see what the hype was all about.

Stayed in Thousand Oaks with some friends. There is really nothing to do out there but eat. Mainly chain restaurants to pick from so I tried one that I've never had before, Claim Jumper. Again I had to see what the hype was all about. I always pass by their desserts in the grocery store.
Korea town had this downtown driving range. Similar to the one I practice at, minus the roof netting and mine extends to about 300 yards. This range is only about 200 feet long. Better hope that netting stays tight.
I've been trying to get here for about 10 years now. Thanks iPhone, you've helped me again, not only by getting the address but with gps directions. If you don't know the significance of this place...I don't know you. This is Daniel Larusso's home in Karate Kid. It's fully gated inside and out but I was still able to walk in.

Remember this? Is this the only pool you guys have? It's fully funcitonal now too bad his mom moved out.
This is where Daniel got fell off his bike and tossed it in the dumpster. "It's safer taking the bus"
Decided to take 101 home and really wanted Anderson's soup. This was my first time, I have always seen it on the 5 but it smells like cow dung on the 5 so this was way more appetizing.

I heard the record is 14 bowls. My record is 5 bowls, but at 10am. I'm sure I could have done more, but I didn't want to over do it seeing that I still have 300 miles until a clean toilet.
